The 29th IUSTI European Conference on Sexually Transmitted Infections in 2015 will be held at the Melià Hotel in Sitges (Barcelona) between 24-26 September. The hosts will be the Catalan Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology and the Catalan Society of Dermatology and Venereology with the scientific support of the Spanish Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology (SEIMC) and the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV).

The theme of the Conference will be “Focus on Men’s Sexual Health”. Syphilis, gonorrhoea, HIV and lymphogranuloma venereum are among the major STI that have reemerged in recent years in Europe disproportionately affecting men who have sex with men. Hence, the international Scientific Committee is producing a programme with two tracks: one specifically devoted to STI and the sexual health of men and another one to address other relevant up-to-date topics in the field of STI. The meeting will be of major interest to STI specialists as well as to colleagues in infectious diseases, dermatology, urology, public health and microbiology.

Who does not know Sitges: The Punta, the sweet Sirena and its beaches? Visitors will not be indifferent to the values and personality of this town. Science, cultural tourism and beaches - Sitges will combine them all. Cultural movements of the last century have bequeathed a legacy of magnificent architecture and painting in the city.

Catalan hospitality will ensure that our guests have a wonderful experience.
